Molecular Scale Electronic Transport (TELEM)

The TELEM team explores the fundamental mechanisms of charge, spin and heat transport in two-dimensional (2D) materials and in hybrid structures coupling these materials with metals or molecular layers. We measure the thermoelectric and magnetoelectric properties of devices, study the properties of 2D material stacks in van der Waals heterostructures, and explore new technological approaches using graphene and/or carbon nanotubes as “contacts” on molecules towards fully carbon-based electronics.
