Congratulations to Sara Ducci, Professor at Lab. MPQ (Université Paris Cité / CNRS), who has just been elected Fellow of Optica (formerly OSA), “for her significant achievements in the field of integrated nonlinear quantum photonics, from fundamentals to applications, and for her deep commitment to education and mentoring.”
The press release is available on the Optica website.
Optica is dedicated to promoting the production, application and dissemination of knowledge in optics and photonics worldwide. Founded in 1916, it is a leading organization for scientists, engineers, business professionals, students and others interested in the science of light.
Optica Fellows are selected on the basis of several factors, including outstanding contributions to research, business, education, engineering and service to Optica and this community.
Fellows are Optica members who have distinguished themselves in the advancement of optics and photonics. The Membership Committee, led by President Ofer Levi of the University of Toronto, reviewed 216 nominations submitted by current members. Candidates are recommended by the Fellows Committee and approved by the Awards Council and Board of Directors.
New Fellows will be honored at Optica conferences and events throughout 2024.
