Magnetism and electron correlations in condensed matter

The aim of this course is to give an introduction to electronic correlations and the emergence of novel quantum phases in materials. Magnetism will be used as a basis to introduce the key concepts and models. Other electronic orders will also be covered such as electron density waves and superconductivity. The course will also give many example of real materials and experiments taken from the recent research and literature.
